The Women are using all their power and strength in the World Cup tournament of 2022. All the participated teams are working hard to get the champion’s trophy. In terms of India, the nation’s team is doing good and has been placed at number 3 position. But now, the points table may get change, as the England team beat the India. And India has to accept the lost. Out of 4 matches in the tournament, it’s a second time when India got defeated. After this loss, the India may get the place back in the points table and team becomes weak and England got a benefit that the team gets one place ahead in the table.

Lets see the points table after the defeat of team India.

In the Women’s World Cup 2022, India had to face defeat by 4 wickets at the hands of England (IND W vs ENG W). Earlier, it was also defeated by hosts New Zealand by 62 runs. The Indian batting was a flop against England and the entire team was bundled out for 134 runs in 36.2 overs. Barring Smriti Mandhana (35) and wicket-keeper batsman Richa Ghosh (33), none of the other batsmen could face the English bowling. In reply, England achieved the target of victory in the 32nd over for the loss of 6 wickets.

The defeat against England was a big loss for team India. The team still remains in third place in the Women’s World Cup 2022 Points Table. But the run rate has fallen. Now India’s net run rate is +0.632. India has 4 points in 4 matches with 2 wins and 2 losses. However, New Zealand and West Indies also have 4-4 points after 4 matches. But India’s net run rate is still better than these two teams. The net run rate of New Zealand is (-0.257) and that of West Indies is (-1.233).

Just because of better net run rate, the Indian team is at the third position. However, if New Zealand and West Indies win their next matches, then the position of the points table will change.

India’s challenge from New Zealand-West Indies

New Zealand have to play their next match against South Africa on Thursday. At the same time, West Indies will be facing Bangladesh on this Friday. If these two teams are gets success in their respective matches, then India will slip from third to fifth place in the points table.

Defending champions England have got the benefit of the win against India. Before this match, the English team had lost three consecutive matches. But by defeating India, the team has opened the account of victory in the World Cup and now England has come in sixth place above Bangladesh in the points table. Bangladesh is 7th with 2 points and Pakistan is at the last position after losing all four matches.

Australia is placed on top the points table

Australia has won all the four matches played so far and is on top with 8 points. South Africa has also won all the three matches played so far and has 6 points and is in second place. India has to play its next match against Australia on 18 March. After this, there will be a collision with Bangladesh on 22 March. At the same time, there will be a clash with South Africa on 27 March.
