There is a lot happening inside the Indian National team before the T20 World cup. Lot of matches, lots of experiment is that what is happening. And amongst all those experiments there is one who is said to be an exciting prospect. The one we are talking about here is none other than Umran Malik. The young lad from the beautiful valleys of the Kashmir.
It happened so, that during a press conference, the skipper Rohit Sharma called the young lad an exciting prospect amongst other few to be tried and experimented with. He said,
“He is very much in our plans, it is just trying to give him that understanding as to what the team requires from him as well,yes, there will be times where we want to try out a few guys and Umran is definitely one of those guys, keeping one eye on the World Cup, we want to see what he has to offer for us. He is definitely an exciting prospect, there is no doubt about it.”
Well continuing further, Rohit also praises the young bowler for how fast he was during the IPL and whether he can used with the new ball or the want him to be in the backend. While saying so, Rohit emphasized, that playing for franchise is different than playing for a national team. He said,
“It is just about understanding how you can fit in those individuals and give them clarity,”
Rohit Sharma has just recovered from COVID 19 virus and wasn’t the part of the fifth test against England. But surely the skipper will be seen against the same team today (7th July) which will be a 3-match T20I series. In today’s match it will be interesting to see if Ishan Kishan continues in his spot in presence of Rohit Sharma or not however, from the English side Jos Buttler will be the change as skipper.
