In the day and night match played against the Australia, the English Cricket team’s assistant coach backed its team for the best selection criteria and the bowling combination.

Not having Jack Leach and Mark wood in the team, England went with James Anderson and Stuart Broad had to continue along with their five extended pacers, all with right arm and a part time spinner Joe root. With prolonged struggle with their bowling order finally te English team was able to taste some victory by getting 2 wickets.

Thorpe the English team assistant head coach said that they picked the right team for the match but when asked there was more need for variation in the attack he responded as agreeing of having the thought the another day, he agreed that they could have grazed some edge which could have brought some difference.

Even Warner the left hand batsmen expressed his view being amused by the English team that used as their best ploy. Warner being a smart player was aware what was happening when Ben stokes kept banging shorter length balls with six fielders on the leg side. Currently, Warner is going through a rib injury.

Warner also said that it was a tactic that the English team tried to impose or put through us and he had no idea why are they doing so but for us we had to play each and every ball based on the merits. He added saying that they agree it is a shorter square, but it’s really very significant to stick to a game plan and sticking to it, there’s no other choice than to back you. They English team have also been seen mixing up on the field with placement of field differently and based on your own perspective one needs to adapt and play.

Thorpe said that they time to time the short ball ploy strategy from time to time which was day one. It gives you an option to attack your opponent strategically. He added saying that he doesn’t think that you can attack like that (Short Ball) every time even although he has all the right arm bowlers but for him they all have different style and we stick to it but unfortunately couldn’t get a rub.

Thorpe said that he doesn’t think that there plans were too bad, if we bowled poorly. He said that it’s not about being sorry but an attempt of trying that matters. If they come tomorrow again on the field, they might try using the similar strategy especially when it comes to batting order.

Thorpe again added, he thinks the two players did well that too for a longer period of time taking advantage of the last few over’s. It’s important to understand that if you have an attack a bit more tired, we’ll are able to make some roads tomorrow.

For England, it is already a challenge. They have lost 5 points for maintaining a slower rate in the Gabba test. Thorpe added saying that he thinks there are bigger things going on in the world that just slow over rates.
