Ross Taylor, who is a veteran cricketer of the New Zealand team, recently came forward in lauding the two Indian players, feeling that they will be recognized not only in their team but also at the international level. There are actually three players and the third one is Kyle Jamieson.

Ross now sees a different Indian side than the team he saw during the Ageas Bowl. What he sees is the rise of a fearless and ruthless crop of Indian side.

Ross Taylor actually has a lot of respect for the overall Indian team, but having two sets of his favourites, he feels could do wonders at the international level in the next 5-6 years down the line. The two players we can’t wait to talk about are Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. According to Taylor, the two players have one thing in common, that is their youth.

Ross got Shreyas’ notice during a practice match in 2016-2017, which was being held in Mumbai. He saw tremendous confidence in the player, see what Ross said,

“I don’t think you can call Rishabh Pant young now, would you? He has been around for a while. Shreyas Iyer… When I first saw him, I think it was 2016-17. We played a warm-up game just at the back of Mumbai and he played with a lot of confidence. Obviously, all Indians play spin well. But the way he has taken to international and Test cricket. If there was ever a question-mark, it was over his red-ball credentials but he has put that to bed very quickly and that extra responsibility of being the captain at Kolkata I think will be great… learning from Brendon and some experienced players,”

On the other hand, speaking highly of his own countrymen Kyle Jamieson, he says, that he is the future of cricket,

“Kyle Jamieson is the future of New Zealand cricket, but Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant, in 5-6 years’ time, are going to be the superstars of not only Indian cricket but world cricket as well.”

Taylor believes that the New Zealandian player Kyle Jamieson is a fast learner and raises his level of game when it comes to play against the Indians. Talking about the young 27-Year-old player, Rossa says,

“His rise has been very quick and he has learnt a lot along the way. The attributed that he has… he is tall, getting quicker and better, able to swing the ball both ways. And he has got some valuable runs. He started out cricket as a batter but I guess when you are over 2 meters tall, you might as well bowl as well,”

Coincidentally, Shreyas and Rishabh are also the two newly elected captains of the KKR and Delhi Capitals team. Shreyas and Rishabh was bought for 12.25 Crores and 16 crores respectively and will be seen engaging with each other in their first match on 10th April.

Now let the time decide who is the best and will take the IPL trophy this season.
