Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has praised former India captain MS Dhoni for being a ‘stupid’ and said that he has not met anyone like him. Dhoni is known for not expressing his emotions and remains calm on the field. Asking further questions about Dhoni, Shastri said that he has never seen anyone like Dhoni. Currently the former Indian tea captain, Dhoni will be seen in the IPL’s mega auction to be held in February, while CSK team have decided to hold on to the one and only captain MS Dhoni which will be for the next three years. Aside Dhoni, the CSK franchise is also going to keep or retain the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad and the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who were instrumental in CSK winning the IPL title (2021). Each team is allowed to keep hold of or retain a maximum of four players according to rules set by BCCI, and four-time champions the Chennai Super Kings are in talks with Moeen Ali (England all-rounder) to come on board. In a latest, Dale Steyn had praises for the all rounder Ravindra Jadeja saying that in contribution to all three cricket departments (bat, field and bowling) Ravindra Jadeja’s all-rounder ability must have given the Indian teams an extra edge “He definitely remembered someone like Sir Ravi Jadeja. I think he is a great cricketer. He can control the game with his left arm spin. He is brilliant and he can bat as well. The statement was made based on the shameful defeat India faced during the recently concluded ODI series against SA vs IND.
However, Dhoni himself had confirmed that his last T20 match will be in Chennai.
“ I have always planned my cricket. My last ODI in India was in Ranchi. Hopefully my last T20 will be in Chennai. Whether it is next year or in five years’ time, I don’t know “
