Despite having the time for T20 World Cup, team India has already started to plan a strategy for presenting the best they can. In the context of planning strategy, Rishabh Pant has presented his opinion. He said that the team has planned to try as many options as possible before the T20 World Cup to be held in 8 months.
Rishabh Pant was the vice-captain of the Indian team for the ongoing series against the West Indies in the absence of KL Rahul where he scored a half-century during India’s eight-run victory in the second match.
When Pant was asked about the plans for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia, he said after the match, there is time left in the World Cup, so the team will plan to try as many options as possible.
Rishabh Pant will not be a part of the 3rd T20 match against West Indies as BCCI has given him a break from a bio-Buble with Virat Kohli.
Further, Pant said, “We are trying to find out which position suits whom and how they can benefit the team, we are trying many options, in the end, what is right for the team will be the final decision”.
Rishabh Pant never plays to secure a place.
The pair of fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been rested for the series.
In absence of these two, Harshal Patel kept India victorious despite Rovman Powell’s two consecutive sixes in the last over.
Pant threw light on this and said that it was a plan to keep the ball outside the off-stump.
With the unavailability of Hardik Pandya due to injury, India will make the benefits of fast bowling all-rounder like Venkatesh Iyer as a finisher.
Venkatesh Iyer played an innings of 33 runs in 18 balls in the second match in partnership with Rishabh Pant, adding 76 runs in 35 balls, played an important role in taking the team’s score to 186 runs for 5 wickets.
When someone asked him about securing apposition in the team, Pant replied that it is part of the team plan. As an individual player, I don’t think I have to secure this spot or the other.
