The Match Highlights for the Brisbane Heat vs Adelaide Strikers, Big Bash League 2021 – 2022: Brisbane Heat is going to take Adelaide Strikers at the Adelaide Oval on 23 December. The Strikers have currently won the tournament with four points in the table. The Jimmy Pierson-led Heat are placed seventh in the points table and will go into the game after Chris Green’s 53-run loss to Sydney Thunder.

The Heat has also suffered a setback after Tom Abel was out for at least four weeks due to injury. Talking about the strikers, they are making a comeback even after the loss in their previous match against Sydney Sixers.

The pitch at Adelaide Oval is expected to be good for batting. The chasing team gets plenty of help from the surface. Spinners can also come into play. However, the striker wouldn’t mind defending the score either.

The Possible team 11 could be:

Brisbane Heat – Chris Lynn, Max Bryant, Ben Duckett, Jimmy Pierson (c & wk), Sam Heazlett, Tom Cooper, Javier Bartlett, James Bazley, Jack Wildermuth, Mitchell Swepson, Mark Steketty, Mujeeb ur Rahman

Adelaide Strikers – Matthew Short, Jake Weatherald, Matt Renshaw, Thomas Kelly, Jonathan Wells, Harry Nielsen (wk), Rashid Khan, George Garten, Daniel Worl, Fawad Ahmed, Peter Siddle (c)

Brisbane Heat, like their competing team, has won only one of their four matches and are currently ranked seventh on the table points. By seven wickets they were beaten by Sydney Thunder which was their first match of the tournament. It was not over yet, they were after then washed by the Perth Scorchers at the tournament by only six runs. The Heat also beat the Renegades by five wickets and Sydney Thunder beat them by 53 runs.

In their previous game against Sydney Thunder, bowling first, the Heat could not contain the Thunder’s run rate as they scored a total of 196 runs. Mitchell Swepson, Mark Stekete and Xavier Bartlett were the top wicket-takers with two wickets each. James Bazley was unusually expensive and claimed a skull.

Tom Cooper (18 balls 32), Xavier Bartlett (29 balls 42) and Mark Stecketti (24 balls 33) were the top scorers for the Heat. Despite Bartlett-Sticketti’s heroics, the heats fell 53 runs short of the target.

The Heat Pitch Report of Adelaide Strikers vs Brisbane

The surface of the Adelaide Oval is a good cricket surface and it is expected to help the batsmen. Batsmen can play their shots after a careful initial passage of play. The fast bowlers need to make use of the opening passage and provide timely breakthroughs to their team.

The Weather

Clear skies are expected to be the feature of the match day. The temperature is likely to remain in the range of 14 to 29 degree Celsius. There is no chance of rain stopping throughout the day’s play.

By moving ahead into the contest the strikers will be slightly worried about winning only one game so far with of course less confidence. To remind, in the previous game the strikers went down by remainng four wickets in which they scored in total 147 runs.
