Rohit Sharma has been replaced by Virat Kohli as the captain for the one-day cricket series. His health is still in doubt. Therefore, it has been reported that he will have to take a break for a certain period of time in the next few matches. He won’t be a part of the upcoming one-day test series against South Africa that is going to start from 19th January. Right now, Rohit Sharma is focusing to recover from his health issues at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
According to the experts in NCA, Rohit has to lose some weight. Due to excess weight, the whole pressure of the body pressurizes his knees and muscles. Due to this, he is getting injured frequently.
It’s not the first time when Rohit met with such a type of injury. He got injured in the season of IPL in 2021. He didn’t attend the Australia Tour last year due to his injury. As per the expert’s advice, Rohit Sharma is taking efforts to put off 5-6 Kg weight. For this, he needs to follow some diet and exercises that are slightly different than his everyday routine. The player is following that and getting success to achieve the target.
We can hope to see Rohit Sharma fit. The Hitman is looking very slim than earlier in the picture that is shared by Shikhar Dhawan with Bhuvnehswar Kumar on Instagram who is receiving training from NCA.
For now, in South Africa Test Series, KL Rahul has been appointed as a captain and Jaspreet Bumrah as a vice-captain by BCCI in place of Rohit Sharma.
