Professional coaching is a must for every player in sports. The position of the coach in cricket is always been a subject of discussion and every time all the cricket fans and followers take note of the coaches that guide their favorite teams whether it’s Woman’s play or Men’s.
The recent news regarding the Women’s Cricket team of India has come out that the contract between the Women’s Cricket Indian team and Mr. Ramesh Power has been expired. Not it is the time when a new coach will take a place of the coach for the team to provide the best and most suitable training to the players.
After the defeat in World Cup 2022, the BCCI hasn’t renewed Pawar’s contract.
Ramesh Power was the head coach of the Women’s cricket team and his contract ends after the disappointment in the Women’s World Cup 2022. Now it’s been said that VVS Laksham will direct the team and coach them for the next matches.
The sources from BCCI have told in a discussion that the contract with Ramesh Pawar was till the World Cup tournament 2022. We cannot extend the contract and hence, the candidates who want to apply must refill the form. And Mr. Ramesh Power can also re-apply for the same post he wishes to.
Twitter Words from BCCI.
Ramesh Powar’s contract was until the World Cup.” There is no provision for extension. OS the entire process starts with applications and interviews. Powar can certainly reapply and CAC. As per the constitution, will take a call.”
A senior from BCCI has said that it is a big problem in front of BCCI and we hope that Women’s Cricket League 2022 will help in finding new talent across the globe in the near future.
Before appointing a new coach for the women’s team, the BCCI will have a discussion with VVS Laksham and the captain of the Men’s Indian cricket team, Mr. Rahul Dravid. It will help the women players for showing their best without any mess in their minds.
VVS Laksham is the head coach of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and will have to perform the responsibility to mentor the current and upcoming batches in the Women’s Cricket Team.
The Indian women’s team could not manage to reach the semi-finals in the World Cup 2022 even and had to accept the defeat very early. It was very disappointing for cricket lovers.
Important replacements are the subject of concern.
Nonetheless, the condition of the Women’s Cricket team is not poor and the team has good and strong payers, still, the two players are about to get retirement this year or next. The captain of the team Mitali Raj and Jhulan Goswamy would take retirement from the game. Both are strong players. Under the captaincy of Mitali Raj, the team’s togetherness was sustained and it did very well in almost all the tournaments the team has played to date.
Jhulan has registered many records on her name and has created a history. When such a brilliant player will get out of the team, the team will be weak and to refill or replace these power pillars of the team with equally brilliant players is a big task and huge responsibility. Not only with these two but there may have several other replacements in the team and it is a subject of concern.
Formulating the model will be the biggest responsibility.
If VVS Laksham will get an opportunity to seat on the chair of the coach of the Women’s Cricket team, he has to play a bigger role. The complete model and structure of the team will get redesigned with the new strategies and upgraded consultations. A fresh start will be applied to formulate the model to gain more and more victories in the near future. After the T20 World Cup 2022, now it becomes very important to focus on other important tournaments in the nation with new and fresh guidance for longer success. For this, VVS Laksham is expected to discuss with Rahul Dravid who is the current coach of the Men’s Cricket team.
WIPL preparations will be a challenge for VVS Laksham
The next challenge will be in terms of WIPL. As we all have the news broken out before some days that BCCI is planning to organize the Women’s IPL in 2023. It will be a big opportunity for the Women to showcase their talent on a professional platform. The new and young talent will get an opportunity to play with experienced ones. So to make them play comfortably and prepare to win the battles and exciting challenges with head to head on and on discussions and guidance will be the next challenge for VVS Laksham.
