The England team already made their goals exceptionally clear to start with itself by hitting strong fours and sixers across the boundaries. The fascinating this during the match was when Dawid Malan was pronounced out when was at only 25 runs while the Dutch captain was bowling yet later the choice made by the on-field umpire ended up being incorrectly by the savior third umpire.

The Netherland team knowing the practicalities didn’t seem to try to chase but ended up scoring a relatively decent 266 runs and saving their face from even the greater shame.
From Netherland it was Scott Edwards’s beautiful 72* off 56 deliveries, Max ‘O’ Dowd’s 55 off 55 deliveries and not the least Bas De Leede’s 28 off 38 ball innings could not match the frequency that the English.
Eventually, the match went in favor of the England team, which they won by 232 runs which indeed could be another record.
