Pakistan’s former cricketer retired in 2019, Mohammed Amir has lashed out at Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Ramiz Raja, and their chief selector, Mohammed Wasim, for the poor performance of the Pakistani team and also poor player selection of the team.

Pakistan as team has lost two matches in row, one against India by 4 wickets and then by 1-run against the humble Zimbabweans, now being at the verge of facing a super 12 stage exit. Mohammed Amir, the former cricketer feels that the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Ramiz Raja, and their chief selector, Mohammed Wasim, is fully responsible for such a thing.

On Thursday, in the match between Zimbabwe and Pakistan, something happened that people least expected. Zimbabwe defeated the mighty Pakistan team by 1 run. In the last minute, it was 3 runs that Pakistan needed from 1 ball to win and 2 runs to make a draw but when the ball got delivered, the last two batsmen trying taking two runs could not succeed and lost the match by one run remaining. For Zimbabweans it was a huge win.

Mohammd Amir, lashing out, said that Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Ramiz Raja, and their chief selector, Mohammed Wasim should be removed immediately.

“From day one I said poor selection ab is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it’s time to get rid of so-called chairman jo PCB ka khudabanahuahai and so-called chief selector”

Meaning,

“From day one, I said it’s a poor selection. Who will take the responsibility? I think it’s time to get rid of the so-called PCB chairman who thinks he is the god, as well as the so-called chief selector”

Now time for all of you for a flashback. Mohammed Amir, from the past couple of years has not been considered at all in the Pakistan team and was last seen in 2020 during a T20I match against England. Later, the player announced retirement, but also insisted that if the country and the team management need him, he’ll be available.

But over the years, when nothing came Amir’s way, especially during the world cup selection time, the chief selector Mohammed Wasim was asked about Mohammed Amir’s future. Md Wasim replied, “he cannot be considered as he has taken retirement”

“My work is to select from players who are available for selection. Unfortunately, Mohammad Amir never made himself available in my tenure. He has retired, so I never talked about him. When he is not available, what can I say? The rest, who are available, we do talk about them and consider them. But there is no such policy,”

My work is to select from players who are available for selection. Are the words from the chief selectors which don’t sound very good. It also smells with a lot of disappointment or sort of internal feud which is going on between the two.

So, we think this probably could have triggered the beast inside Mohammed Amir. So, who is wrong and who is right, we leave it to the time to decide.
