In the end, Chennai Super Kings made their debut with a win. The win coincided with the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore yesterday. There were mainly two players from CSK to achieve this feat, who contributed much and till the end, and those names are none other than Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dubey, who scored 88 and 95 runs respectively and taking the total to 216, which was the highest of this season.

In the Initial 7 overs the CSK team lost their two crucial wickets, in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad (17 off 16) and Moeen Ali (3 off 8 balls), but to handle the situation Shivam Dubey came determined this time and all set to play an important inning for his team accompanying Robin Uthappa. The game took a slow start in the beginning, but the duo handled it with care by hitting boundaries and sixers all around the stadium. The southpaw was seen making a fabulous 95 being not out off 46 balls and on the other end Robin smashing 88 runs off 50 balls.

The left hander was very much satisfied with his game and found himself getting compared to the young Yuvraj Singh. It is largely due to the fashion in which the player strokes. Speaking on the same, look at what the player has to say,

“Definitely, someone like Yuvi pa is always a role model for a left-hander. Many people told me that I play like him. So, obviously lot of respect from my side,”

Shubham has no complaints of being compared with the former big hitter, and seemed very much happy with his performance. The 207 runs of him in the league makes him a just behind the English player Jos Butler with focus and encouragement. The only complaint that all has is his inconsistent performance but we’ll not much focus on that but rather celebrate the win of the CSK. Still a long way to go, but a great comeback.

The young southpaw speaking about his form said that he’s focusing more on his basics and getting much of guidance from the former captain MS Dhoni and other senior players. He said,

“I am more focused this time. I focus on my basics. I spoke to many senior playerss and Mahi bhai also helped me to improve my game. He said you have a good game, just be focussed, just be still, don’t do anything and let the skill work in the game,”

On the occasion of this great comeback, the skipper Ravindra Jadeja also shared his thoughts saying,

“We have plenty of experience in the dressing room. It comes into play. We don’t panic early and try to keep calm and back ourselves”

With 2 points the CSK team has come on the ninth spot and will be looking forward to more such wins.
