The KKR team is in the news not only for being at the top of the points table of the IPL but also because of its star bowler Umesh Yadav. Ever since he been in the league and playing for his new team KKR, he has been a very resourceful player for the team.
The KKR team has so far played four matches in the league and has been successful under the leadership of the newly elected captain, Shreyas Iyer. The first match the team played was against the 4-time IPL Champions, the Chennai Super Kings, where CSKs were beaten badly in the game by the Shreyas Iyer-led squad. Then the second time, the KKR team dealt with the Royal Challengers team, but this time faced a defeat and went happy with it. The third match the KKR team played was with the Punjab Kings, led by Agrawal, and this time the team smashed the Punjab Kings team 6 wickets in the game.
The latest match the KKR team played was against the 5-Time IPL champions, the Mumbai Indians, who surprisingly, got defeated in the match, by 5 wickets. SRK – Juhi, the owned team, is climbing higher with confidence and is the top contender in the league this time around.
But here we are to talk especially about the match that took place between the KKR and the MIs. This match is expected to be so interesting that one of the former Australian players, Brad Hogg said, that
He saw this match only for one reason, and that is, the current purple cap winner Umesh Yadav and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma. Impressed by Umesh Yadav’s line and length against, Rohit’s led Mumbai Indians is the reason why Brad Hogg was so interested to look at this game particularly.
Brad said on his YouTube channel,
“Rohit Sharma went for the pull shot and out he went. Umesh Yadav right now is all over Rohit Sharma. So, I am looking forward to the next contest between Mumbai Indians and KKR“
During his talk on his own Youtube channel, the Hogg went on to explain how Umesh Yadav managed to take the big wicket of Rohit Sharma. Umesh actually frustrated the batting length of Rohit and didn’t let him score in the initial few balls. At one point the MI skipper was on 3 runs from 12 balls. Look at what Brad Hogg said on this,
“He had the ball on the good areas. Rohit Sharma was getting frustrated, he tried to use his feet. He (Umesh) got to bowl fuller, cramp Rohit Sharma up, then bowl a little bit shorter, and then at the backend of the innings he bowled two shortish deliveries cramping Rohit Sharma up and the final delivery was a little shorter and quicker but just outside off-stump.”
Well, the past is past and Mumbai Indians still have a chance to come back. The next match the MI team is going to play against is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. We hope and wish for the best for the MI team.
