IPL Auction 2022: Mohammed  Shami will be seen in the Mega Auction, and most teams will be interested in him.

One of the big names that are at the top of the player’s list is Mohammed  Shami. Tomorrow, 12th and on 13th February 2022, the auction process of IPL 2022 will be held in Bengaluru. All are very much excited to see the players and their thrilling performances on the field. Many names have come up that may be bought by the franchise.

We all have a clear idea of Shami’s talent and his style of playing cricket. His previous game and the form that he has consistently followed till now are really appreciable. So, many teams will desire to take him in the team.

Shami is an expert in bowling. He was a part of IPL 2021 and represented the Kings Punjab XI. He is one of the great paces bowlers in the Indian Cricket team and always take the wickets effortlessly.

Last year, in IPL 2021, Shami played 14 matches for team Punjab and took 19 wickets with an economy rate of 7.50 and a striking rate of 20.78.

In a mega auction, Shami’s base price is Rs. 2 crores. He will be fortunate to have more than this. Shami is listed in the list of marquee players who will be picked up and collects the great price money.

What are the marquee players?

Marquee players are the world-famous players who are first preferred by the auctioneers and most teams want to buy them.

Generally, these players are the brand of cricket and have built their careers in international cricket.  The marquee players are considered the most expensive players and are usually got sold at a high price.

Shami is one of the most popular players who have gained name and fame on the basis of his talent and the skill of playing. So, the teams have already kept an eye on him to take him in their team.

How is Shami’s performance in IPL?

Mohammed Shami is a great player anyways but he did a fantastic and superb job in IPL. His wicket-taking nature of playing proved him the all-time best bowler. He has taken 79 wickets in 77 IPL matches during which his Economy Rate was 8.63.

The most memorable moment of Shami is when he took three wickets for 15 runs. IPL is considered the biggest league in the world. And Shami always presents his specialty of taking wickets on every 21st ball. Yes. It’s true. In the last three seasons, he has taken around 20 wickets every time.

Since 2019, Mohammed  Shami has received 58 wickets in 42 matches. He often gets initial success to his team. Shami represented the Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings in various seasons of IPL.
