IPL 2022: Shoaib Akhtar Names Player Who Should Have Played More Games For India

Former Pakistan cricketer Andy Rawalpindi Express’s Shoaib Akhtar, who has now retired from cricket, is one of the first to come to the fore when it comes to cricket and his views on players.

Although Pakistan is not included in the IPL, Shoaib Akhtar is keeping an eye on the performance of the Indian team. In it, an interesting and interesting match like IPL is alluring.

So how will Shoaib Akhtar be left behind?

Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his views on the general issues and players of this year’s IPL. According to him, there are many players who could have played a better game if given more opportunities.

In IPL 2022, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) found new life after finishing second from the bottom in the points table. Particularly, Sanju Samson has improved in just two games.

In the match against SunRisers Hyderabad, he scored a 55-run knockout and Samson chips did a cameo with 30-run against Mumbai Indians in the second match.

On Tuesday, before the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar said that Samson was unfortunate and should play more matches for India. He added further.

“Sanju Samson needs to play more matches for India. I think he is one of the best players. Unfortunately, he has not been able to seal his place on the Indian team. But he is a great talent.”

However, Sanju Samson could not perform well against RCB and has made just eight runs in multiple deliveries. And after that, he got dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga.

In the context of RCB, the team has beaten RR by four wickets, with Shahbaz Ahmed (45 off 26) and Dinesh Karthik (44* off 23) helping the team to chase down the 170-run target.

So far, Samson has played one ODI and 13 T20Is for Team India. He has also contributed to the team for the recently-concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka and registered scores of 39 and 18 in the two games he got to bat in.

The team Rajasthan Royals have won two matches this season and are currently sitting at the summit of the IPL 2022 points table.
