Cricket is a physical game and the player needs a break after a certain interval of time. After a certain period, players need to take care of their mental health as well as they need to manage their families and work together.
Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant wanted a rest and hence they requested BCCI to allow them for having a break and take a rest out of bio-bubble. And BCCI accepted their request, therefore, Master in batting Virat Kohli and Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant will not be a part of the 3rd T20 match against West Indies.
BCCI has given a break for 10 days to Virat Kohli and Pant. The players will be playing the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
Team India has already achieved the success in T20 match by defeating West Indies with 2-0 and fixed their success in the series. Kohli and Rishabh Pant had delivered a half-century in the last T20 match against West Indies which was held on Friday and Pant were got awarded as Man of the match.
Virat Kohli will not be going to play a series against Sri Lanka which will be starting on 24th February. The matches in the series will be played at Dharmshala on 26th and 27th February. Kohli will be back in the test series that will be starting from 4th August in Mohali.
The last match of the series between Inia and the West Indies will be played at Kolkata tomorrow on 20th February 2022. It is expected that, in place of Kohli, Shreyas Iyer will be appointed. Shreyas hasn’t played a single match in the series. His last match was against New Zealand in Kolkata.
Shreyas also got an opportunity to play against West Indies in the ODI series.
It was an excellent inning of 80 runs in the third ODI of the series in Ahmedabad and was adjudged the player of the match. A board official told PTI, ‘Virat Kohli left for home on Saturday morning as India has won the series. The board has decided that players playing in all formats will be given regular breaks from bio-bubble so that workload management and mental health can be taken care of.
