In the second ODI Ind vs WI match of West Indies vs India, something happened which is not seen in such matches. In the 2nd ODI, the Caribbean cricketers came out to bat and they looked really furious with their bats too, how they did it, don’t worry we will tell you.

Initially it seemed that the game will be one-sided with Shai Hope blistering knock of 115 off 135 deliveries and another happy batsman Nicholas Pooran who made 74 off 77 deliveries taking the total a massive 312 runs in their first innings.

But what they didn’t know was that all-rounder’s like Sanju Samson, and Axar Patel would be there and capable enough to turn the tables around. But to set the stage on fire initially, the opening batsman, Shreyas Iyer had to build the momentum first and to follow and maintain the same momentum the names that came forward were Sanju Samson (54 off 51 deliveries) and the unexpected star performer of the match, Axar Patel who scored 64* off 35 deliveries that too being not out till the end and taking the Indian team towards winning the Ind vs WI second ODI series by 2-0.

Now for the performance and being a match winner and also the player of the match, Axar was asked that how is feeling at the moment, he said,

“I think this is a special one. It came at a crucial time and also helped the team to win the series. We have done the same in the IPL. We just needed to remain calm and keep the intensity up. I was playing an ODI after close to 5 years. I would want to continue performing like this for my team,”

Indeed, Axar Patel who hails from the state of Gujarat made a remarkable innings for himself and the team which will long be remembered in the history of Indian cricket.

Well, now when Ind Vs WI 2nd ODI match is over, team India will be seen clashing against each other on 27th of July as their last match. After the ODI series, the West Indies vs India will play again, in a 3-match T20I series. starting from 29th July., 2022.
