In the series of India vs Sri Lanka, Ravindra Jadeja did a great job in two matches of the series. He scored 201 runs and became the highest run-scorer whereas R. Ashwin took 12 wickets and proved a great bowler in the team.
The series between India and Sri Lanka is a competition for a test championship tournament. The team India is leading the tournament with 2-0 points currently positioning at number 4. In the series, along with the Jadeja and Pant, Shreyas Ayyer has also performed brilliantly. In this, Rishabh Pant has been awarded as a player of the series.
As well know that Rishabh Pant is a very talented new generation player. He has scored 96 runs and was very close to getting a century in the Mohali test, but it’s unfortunate that he couldn’t score 100. In the second test match of Bengaluru, Rishabh Pant has scored the fastest 50 that helping India to get that win. Despite being a batter, he also caught the wickets and showed his talented game. He has taken 8 wickets during the match with a score of 185 runs.
In both the matches against the series, Ravindra Jadeja and Dimuth Karunaratne, the captain of the Sri Lanka team, both bove scored the century. Jadeja has scored 201 runs with anet run rate of 100.50. Also, he scored 175 runs in Mohali and he was the top scorer in that match. Whereas, Shreyas Ayyer has scored 186 with a net run rate of 62. Shreyas Ayyar became the second batsman who scored a half-century and the highest runs in the Bengaluru test series.
The current captain of the Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma praised Ravindra Jadeja. He said that he has seen the growth of Ravindra Jadeja.
Jadeja performed brilliantly, in the two-matches test series against Sri Lanka. India has won the first test series under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Jadeja has impressed everyone with his phenomenal performance in the first Test at Mohali. He smashed the unbeaten 175 in the first inning.
Sharma said about Jadeja,
“It’s been a good run, and I have enjoyed it personally and as a team. We wanted to achieve a few things as a team, and we have done that. We have seen Ravindra Jadeja grow as a batter, and he seems to get better and better.”
He strengthens the team, and he’s also improving as a bowler. And he’s a gun fielder, so he is a complete package,” Rohit said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
