Cricket in India is hailing just one name and that name is none other that ‘DK’ (Dinesh Karthik) who sensible plus warrior innings have led India to finals. In the India vs. South Africa 4th T20I match, Dinesh was blistering at every corner including a reverse shot toward the third man scoring 55 runs off 27 deliveries. On his game many players came forward praising the 37-year-old.
Virender Sehwag said,
“DK today in the first half. And Avesh whose place was questioned after being wicketless in the first three matches. Winning in style -Team India”

The former cricketer Wasim Jaffer wrote,
“Terrific fightback from team India to level the series. Credit to Rishabh and Rahul Bhai for sticking with the same team throughout despite couple of losses at the start. Avesh repaid the faith and how! Super Sunday ahead! #INDvSA”

Hardik Pandya, who remained equally responsible to win the match also couldn’t resist himself and took it to twitter saying,
“Massive win 🇮🇳 My Dino, you superstar Bengaluru up next”

On the occasion, Dinesh expressed himself as feeling secure in the set-up and playing the game what he wants to, being myself.
“Just feels good, I’m getting used to being interviewed with people I played with (he says as he speaks to Murali Kartik). I’m very secure in this set-up. In the last game, things did not go well but I felt safe after going back to the dressing room. I am thinking a bit better and am able to assess situations better. That comes from planning and experience”
Now the statement that has been made is a bit confusing because whether it is the set-up or the match, he played well, things have to be taken apart. However, he played his part well, that is what is important. The innings of the Indian match was good not only for Karthik but also for this year’s IPL-winning captain Hardik Pandya. He played brilliant innings of 46 runs in 31 balls.
Dinesh, for this success, gave all his credit to the team coach Rahul Dravid due to his calm composure.
“Credit to Rahul Dravid; there is a certain sense of calmness. The dressing room is a calm place right now. It is important to learn to embrace pressure. It feels secure and fuzzy. That clarity and the environment helped”
Dinesh said.
Surprisingly, the first time Dinesh Karthik played against was the same team back in 2006 and was then declared the player of the match and this time as well.
At the post-presentation, Dinesh also praises the brilliantly bowled line-up but at the same time showcases concern on the top line batting order stating,
“They bowled brilliantly upfront; our openers could not get going. When I went in, Hardik told me to bide time. To execute things well is great. To go and be a local boy in Bengaluru, despite not representing RCB, is a thrill. The series is on the line which is great. Rahul Dravid has focused on what batters and bowlers need to do and not the results, the dressing room is secure and feels fuzzy which is good. That clarity and environment have helped.”
Now both the teams will be waiting for the last and final match on Sunday, which will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, one of the stadiums from where the IPL league, similar to the TNPL, will start from June 23. 2022.
