The retired and the legendary seamer of the Australia team, Glenn McGrath mentions a few players from the Indian cricket team who can do wonders. The first in the list comes Hardik Pandya of whom Mr. McGrath speaks highly saying,
“Hardik has got so much experience now. He knows what he needs to do. He doesn’t need to be told by coaches what he needs to do. He is a quality allrounder, quality hitter”,
He added,
“Some game goes well, others don’t as well. Overall, he knows what he needs to do”
Currently, the name Hardik Pandya has been selected for the 2-match Ireland T20I series in Dublin along with Bhuveneshwar Kumar’s getting selected as deputy.
The next in line McGrath speaks highly about is Rishabh Pant, He refers him to be as an ‘Entertainer’ with strong leadership who can lead from the front.
From his forte, the bowling end, McGrath feels Bhuveneshwar Prasad to be ideal option with best seam and pace. With abilities to give ball the movement as it requires. He said.,
“Bhuvi is a quality bowler. He gets the ball the movement, very good control and deceptive pace. The experience he has will stand him in good stead”
From the English side, McGrath highly spoke of James Anderson, calling his 600 runs in the international cricket a remarkable one and surpassing the figure mentioned above for any player can be huge stuff. He said while about the star bowler from England,
“For a fast bowler to take 600 wickets, it’s a remarkable effort. Its shows his longevity. He is swing bowler”
