One such cricketer who was a former player and the captain of the Indian team once have come forward expressing the importance of the fifth and the last match against England and most importantly has highlighted the significance of the warm-up match that took place between the two (Leicester) very recently.

At Leicestershire, India played a four-match warm match against Leicestershire just ahead of the main match between the Indian and England. The fifth test series between the two-team held on July 1st till July 5th will be an exciting and crucial one because if India wins it, they will seal their first test series victorying England after 2007.

Stating the importance of the warm-up match conducted between the two teams recently, the veteran Dilip Vengsarkar said it too be vital to get acclimatized. Look at what he said,

“In the last tour, India did not play any warm-up matches before they placed that the fist test. If you tour countries like England, Australia, South Africa, and West Indies you have to play some games before you play the tests to get acclimatised”

By adding further, he said,

“That is why we lost that first game. But now they have played a warm-up match and so I expect them to do well. They also know that there is only one match left now. If they win that, they win the series straightaway”

Recently, Ben Stokes made some very bold statements just before the fifth test match against India stating,

“Obviously, it’s going to be a completely different… different opposition, with their attack and players as well. We’ll be concentrating on what we’ve done well over these last three games and look to continue that against India on Friday.”
