- Varun Aaron talks about his experiences but more specifically the injuries he has been dealing with
One of the star bowlers of Gujarat Titans teams Varun Aaron is all set to make his debut against another new team, Lucknow Super Giants.
Varun Aaron, a resident of Jharkhand state, was taken or bought by the team of Gujarat Titans for a price of 50 lakhs. This will be the debut match for the player. Aaron, who has been a part of the Indian cricket team many times, has played along with Umesh Yadav (Kolkata Knight Riders) as well, being part of the unified Indian team.
Varun, known for his extreme bowling speed, which touches a speed of around 140 to 150 kmph, makes him furious. But to remind you, with top speed comes great mortality and that happens quite often with a player like Aaron. So, let’s discuss what journey the player is planning, learn a little more about the injuries and how the player is trying to deal with it. He revealed all this while get interviewed by the TOI team,
Varun was asked about his thoughts ahead of Gujarat Titans debut IPL season.
Varun expressed himself being more excited having a great vibe. He said having a great set of people around they form a great team as well. He added, that a win initially will bring more fun to the game creating more bonding inside the team.
He was asked by the TOI team about the head coach Nehra, the interaction with him and what is he learning from him?
Aaron said, that he always wanted to work with a senior player like and spend more time. It so happened that everything got aligned automatically he got picked by the team. Varun also emphasized on the journey that he and Nehra are quite similar by defying all the odds and still remaining the game. Telling more about Nehra, he said, that he is a kind of very relaxed person and he also feel relaxed around him. He added that there is so much to learn from him.
Upon further question by the Times of India to the player, they asked him about the injuries Nehra faced? And how does it inspire him?
In response, he said, he believes in himself, but if there’s is somebody before you (Ashish Nehra) with the same example, it obviously gives him a great hope. The young player an ample amount in the MRF foundation off-season, and all set to give some good results for the team.
A last question was added by the TOI team, asking him about his injuries but never compromising with his pace?
In response, the player said, bowling at the speed of 145+ KMPH is something that you have to devote your life to, and obviously with no holidays or breaks. The player said that he’ll be found either playing matches or be in the nets training himself or at the rehab for more faster pace and technique. The player looks at his role as his life purpose being 100 percent whenever he gets an opportunity to step on the field.
