Harbhajan Singh Announced his Retirement from Cricket

Harbhajan Singh is one of the best players on the Indian cricket team. He became even more famous for his witty nature. He is known as the loving of all, from the youngest to the oldest. India has set many records for its best performance. With his regular practice and consistency in the game, he persevered his place in this competitive sport for so many years and he reached the pinnacle of success.

Such a spontaneous, enthusiastic, extremely talented fast bowler announced his permanent retirement from cricket today itself. He made this announcement through social media Twitter and has also shared a video on YouTube explaining the reasons for his retirement. Harbhajan is 41 years old. And every player has some physical limitations after a certain age. 236 ODIs, in which he picked up 269 wickets. He also picked up 25 wickets in 28 T20Is for India.

He conveys his wishes to his fans through the following words on Twitter. All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable. My heartfelt thank you. Grateful.

The supremely talented Harbhajan has played a vital role in the 2007 T20 World Cup and in the 2011 ICC World Cup. He performed very well and was a very important part of both competitions.

The veteran spinner from India has made his debut when he was just 17-year old against Australia in 1998. He represented India for 23 years. In this outstanding and beautiful journey of cricket he played 236 ODIs, in which he picked up 269 wickets. Along with ODI, he also caught 25 wickets in 28 T20Is for India. His fans will never forget his earlier performances and will continue to praise him as the best spinner ever. So wishes him all the best for future endeavors.
