The Pakistani cricket women’s team has finally got a chance to play a match with the Kiwi team this year. This match took place on 12 February. For your information, let us tell you why it is said that due to security reasons many teams and their Board of Control for Cricket were hesitant to send their teams to play cricket.

Recently something similar happened in the year 2021, where the Prime Ministers of both the countries talked to each other and assured that there would be no security threat to the Kiwi team and which was well taken by the current Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, But eventually, at the last minute, the match was canceled again citing security reasons.

This year finally, both the teams are all set to successfully play their first ODI on February 12. Before going into more about the first match, let us have a look at the statistics of the Pakistan women’s cricket team.

• Pakistan women’s cricket team was formed in the year 1996 and it was started by two sisters named Sharmeen Khan and Shaiza. In Pakistan at that time, women’s cricket was not very popular due to the conservative nature of the country and was considered illegal for some time. Javeria is the leading T20 batsman against Ireland women’s team with an unbeaten 74. She has so far won seven Player of the Match awards in T20 Internationals for Pakistan. She is also the top run scorer with 2874 runs.
  
• Javeria khan is one of the players of the Pakistan Women Cricket team to score the maximum number of half centuries which in number is 17 and counting.
  
• With 151 wickets Sana Mir is the highest wicket taker and also the cricketer has taken 42 catches which is also highest in number.
  
• The Pakistan Women Cricket team has also an achievement of being the team with the lowest team total which is astonishingly 23 all out.
