With IPL league on the doorsteps will be having its first match on March 26th. The opening match will be between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders who finished runners-up last year.

As everything is already decided and on the verge of commencement, Bookmyshow will also be the exclusive ticketing partner for all IPL events to be held across four stadiums in Maharashtra.

Bookmyshow is the top and most successful subsidiary of Bigtree Entertainment Group. It is India’s largest online platform for booking entertainment tickets through its website. With offices in New Zealand, Malaysia and India, the company aims to present its customers with options that are countless when it comes to purchasing tickets to their favorite latest movies, concerts, stand-up comic concerts, sporting events and much more.

With 90 percent of the market share in the online ticketing space (Entertainment), the company has managed to add a bigger chunk of entertainment service to its Kitty, which is none other than, our favourite, the Indian Premier League Matches.

The company will take care of its complete end to end ticketing space including gate entry to the spectator management services. However, the ticketing cost has been kept as INR 800, which is minimum, and could reach price more than that depending upon the seating arrangement you are looking for yourself or your loved-ones.

As mentioned above, all these matches would be held at 4 major stadiums in the state of Maharashtra, and will include Wankhede Stadium which is in Mumbai, DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai, Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, and not the least, the MCA International Stadium in Pune.

Of all 70 league matches, each stadium will have its own set ofmatches to be conducted, so see which stadium will host the number of matches in their respective stadium;

  • Wankhede Stadium & DY Patil Stadium – 20 Each (Mumbai)
  • Brabourne Stadium & MCA International Stadium 15 each (Pune)

All tickets to these stadiums will be available through Bookmyshow’s ticketing platform.

On the event of becoming the exclusive partner for the IPL, Anil Makhija, who is the COO (Chief operating Officer) of Bookmyshow said,

“We are absolutely delighted to be back on board with Tata IPL 2022 as the exclusive ticketing, gate entry and spectator management partners for the 15th edition of the sports tournament. After a two-year hiatus, the return of Tata IPL to Indian stadia is a joyous occasion for fans to enjoy the experience and thrill of this spectacle on-ground like they did before the pandemic,”

Adding further, Mr. Makhija emphasized on following strict COVID norms and regulation, which will ensure the well-being and safety of every fan present in the stadium.

Recently, in a joint meeting held between senior officials, which included Mr Aaditya Thackeray and the Commissioner of Mumbai Police, it was decided that all the cricket stadiums selected for the IPL matches will run at 25 per cent capacity and not more than.

The decision was taken to ensure there is no further COVID outbreak, and by maintaining proper hygiene and following the COVID rules.
