The new cricket series between Australia and Pakistan is going to be played from March 3, 2022, and end on April 5, 2022. The series will have both the ODI and T20I tournaments. Both the teams are practicing for the series and preparing to give their best in the series.
The team has built their squad and arranged the playing sequences as per each match. Before the first match in the series, Australia has to reshuffle the team.
A fast bowler from Australia Michael Neser gets injured and hence the team has to make changes for the tour of Pakistan which is a part of the World Test Championship.
For the upcoming series between Australia and Pakistan, the team of Australia altered the squad and replace Michael Neser with Mark Steketee.
Michael Neser did his debut in the Test for the recent Ashes series against England. Right now, he is suffering from a side strain while practicing the bowing for the domestic one-day match in Australia and will take time to get recover from this injury.
Mark Steketee is an experienced player and one of the top and leading wicket-taker in the Australian team. He impressed everyone with his electrifying performance in Australia’s Sheffield Shield competition this season with 29 scalps. With this, another pace bowler from the team Brendan Doggett has also been kept on standby for the series and added the new skipper Pat Cummins.
Jhye Richardson will not be a part of the series. Now, Australia has a total of six-pace bowling options that may be used during the series. It’s Australia’s first tour of Pakistan since 1998.
The team is having great players like Cummins who will be played with the support of the experienced duo of Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood, and assists to the impressive Scott Boland, Steketee, and possibly Doggett for the series.
All the one–day and T20 matches in the series will be played at Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
