5 Fastest 50s By An Indian Player In Test Cricket: Test cricket is the longest format in cricket. It is played for a long duration so it is considered to be the highest level of cricket. In test cricket, matches are played between the national representative teams, therefore, it is a high standard tournament. The 450 overs test match played either in day/night or5 days. It is difficult to maintain consistency in performing with the same spirit and enthusiasm without losing patience.

1. Kapil Dev

Kapil Dev is an iconic persona in the field of cricket. He is one of the all-rounders on the Indian team. He has booked numerous records of scoring centuries, double centuries, and half-centuries. Dev holds the record of scoring fastest 50 two times. One was against Pakistan in 1978 where he scored 50 in just 33 balls and the second was in 1982 against England. He hit 13 sixes and 3 fours in this match.

2. Kapil Dev

Above all, in the 1983 Worldcup winning captain, Kapil Dev scored an excellent half-century off just 30 balls. It was a magical victory for the Indian cricket team.

3. Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur is a bowling all-rounder and a right-handed batsman in the Indian team. Shardul has scored his fastest 50 in just 31 balls against England in 2008 at Chennai. It was an unhealthy situation for the Indian team to which Shardul has contributed his best. All witnessed his excellent batting skill first time in that match. He became the second one who hit the half-century in the Indian team.

4. Virendra Sehwag

Virendra Sehwag is considered the most destructive batsman on the Indian cricket team. The opening batsman is well known for his aggressive batting style. He has been brilliant at his place and maintained that till the end. He scored his fastest half-century in 2008 against England in 32 balls. It was a historic moment.

5. Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir is one of the most violent batsmen in the Indian Cricket team. It was 18th March 2009 when Gambhir scored 72 runs against New Zealand on the ground of Hamilton. It was a terrific 50 scored by Gautam Gambhir.
